Glass fiber and carbon blades can break due to physical damage or casting defects. Our CNC-controlled 3D milling machines the damaged area to an exact, fully definable surface - instead of slow manual work.

How the repair works

The machine performs 3D milling on the defined area of the blade. After milling, a prefabricated carbon or glass fiber segment can be inserted into the machined pocket, restoring the blade with a consistent, repeatable result.

Uptower or on ground

  • Uptower: a compact milling unit mounts directly on the blade surface
  • On ground: a gantry milling machine handles larger defined areas
  • Exact surface after processing - fully definable area with consistent finish

Why machine instead of grind

Manual surface work is slow and operator-dependent. Machining the area is less time consuming, gives an exact surface after processing, and makes a prefabricated insert possible - the pocket and the insert are cut to matching geometry.
