Failed or fatigued blade root bushings used to mean scrapping the blade. Our CNC-controlled bushing replacement removes the old bushings and installs new ones on site - the blade is reused, not replaced.
A machine powered by Siemens CNC technology mounts directly on the blade root and mills out the worn bushings with very high precision. The same machine can reface damaged flange ends. New repair bushings and infusion technology, delivered by our partner We4Ce, complete the installation.
Test coupons have gone through extensive ultimate and fatigue testing at the TNO and Fraunhofer test institutes. UL's assessment indicates the repair concept can achieve higher pull-out strength than the original bushing and a lifetime sufficient for - or exceeding - the 20-year turbine design life, depending on site-specific conditions.
Send us your damage report or turbine type and we will respond within one working day with an assessment and indicative quote.
